U.S. House of Representatives
Recognize Ramadan
But Not Christmas

The U.S. House of Representatives put a simple resolution to vote - a no-brainer - acknowledge that Christmas "is celebrated annually by Christians throughout the United States and around the world." The results:
  • 9 members voted against the resolution
  • 10 members refused to support it by voting "present"

In October, the House voted on a similar resolution, recognizing Ramadan:
  • The vote passed 376-0

Dems: Amen to Ramadan, but forget about Christmas - 9 House members praise Islamic faith, won't recognize Christian observance

U.S. House Votes 372-9 to Pass Resolution Supporting Christmas and Christianity
