V E R S E   O F   T H E   D A Y

“He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.” (Isaiah 53:3-4)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean. The most Googled Question in 2007
- Who is God?

In 2007, the most searched question on the Google web site was "Who is God?".

In Joe Boot's book, Searching for Truth: Discovering the Meaning and Purpose of Life, he addresses this very question. Included in his book are many quotes:

"Reason's last step is the recognition that there are an infinite number of things which are beyond it. It is merely feeble if it does not go as far as to realize that." Pascal

"More consequences for thought and action follow from the affirmation or denial of God than from answering any other question." Mortimer Adler, co editor, Encyclopedia Britannica

"The person who believes in God and the person who does not believe in God do not merely disagree about God. They disagree about the very character of the universe." C. Stephen Evans, Quest for Faith
