Virginia 4-H bans Christian Faith

The Virginia 4-H Mission Statement states:
The mission of 4-H is to assist youth, and adults working with those youth, to gain additional knowledge, life skills, and attitudes that will further their development as self-directing, contributing, and productive members of society.

The 4-H has been meeting in a church facility for years, but since one Atheistic parent has complained that the building creates a "barrier," the Virginia 4-H has amended their policy to restrict expressions of Christianity across all chapters. Being a Christian is no longer considered a way of developing self-directing, contributing, and productive members of society for Virginia 4-H youth.

The Virginia 4-H Learn Why CHARACTER COUNTS program includes "education with values," which teaches:

6. AMERICAN STANDARDS FOR CHARACTER EDUCATION
SOURCES FOR AMERICAN CHARACTER IN OUR MOST PRECIOUS DOCUMENTS:

2. CANNON LAW -- BASED ON THE AUTHORITY OF A DIVINE BEING. IT IS OUR DUTY TO LOVE GOD AND TO LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR AS OUR SELVES. EQUALITY AND OTHER VIRTUES OF HUMAN INTERACTION DERIVE FROM THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GOD AND HUMANITY.

The Virginia 4-H CHARACTER COUNTS program will need to be amended now that the this 4-H has decided that Christian character does not count.
