The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear a case against the county of Los Angeles. The case surrounds the remove of a small cross from the Los Angeles county seal, representing the Christian missionaries who founded the county. The ACLU sued, arguing that the Christian history of Los Angeles should be eliminated from the emblem. Many citizens were outraged when the county board caved-in to the ACLU and pursued a redesign of the county emblem. The case is now being fought by Ernesto Vazquezm, who believes the seal redesign communicates the exclusion of Christians from the county and it's history.
