John Deere Considers Religion Unacceptable Job Performance

Elizabeth Bergland worked at the John Deere company for over 27 years. According to Bergland, it was when she began revealing her faith in the workplace that her management and Human Resource department began evaluating her job performance as unacceptable. It was not that her work was unacceptable, but that the company would not tolerate expressions of faith on the job. Her employment was eventually terminated.

Bergland has filed a lawsuit against Deere & Company for religious discrimination. The company has refused to comment.
