The Backlash of "Jesus" Prayer in Osceola County, Florida

Paul Owen, commissioner of Osceola County, Florida, begins each public meeting with a prayer. Being a Christian, he always evokes the name "Jesus." This exercise of his liberties is bringing about much criticism. The Americans United for Separation have ordered him to stop. Even one commentary, Jim Philips, has written about the "holy rollers" of Osceola County.
