Ed Greening has been removed from an adoption panel because his Christian beliefs prevents him from supporting same-sex couples adoption. Gerald Howarth, the Chairman of the Lords and Commons Family and Child Protection Group stated "This is nonsense verging on the evil. It exemplifies the contempt for family values shown by this Government’s obsession with political correctness." Greening observed, "The fact the government don’t want that view [against same-sex couples adopting] represented is very disturbing for democracy, as well as Christians."
