SUNY College Allows Freedom of Expression - Except Religious Expression

Greg Davis was a student at Ulster County Community College. He was informed by college officials that, in order for him to discuss his faith in the public grassy area of the campus, he must submit a facilities to use application. Attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against college officials. "The Constitution does not say that speech is only free if it meets certain arbitrary categories developed by public officials," said Nate Kellum, ADF Senior Legal Counsel.
