William Lee taught Spanish at the Tabb High School in Yorktown, VA. Lee has maintained his classroom bulletin boards with pictures and symbols related to the objectives of the class. This included items pertaining to various religions. When Lee returned to his classroom after a few days-off due to illness, he found that all the Christian pictures and symbols were removed - to the point where pictures were cut to purge only the Christian symbols. All the secular and non-Christian religious items remained.
Mr. Lee has required legal representation to have the purged Christian material reposted. A civil rights lawsuit is now pending.
