Larry Caldwell founded Quality Science Education for All "to secure and defend the right of all students in America to receive a quality science education ... that exposes students to the scientific strengths and weaknesses of evolutionary theory." Caldwell attempted to work with the Sacramento, California school district to introduce his "Quality Science Education Policy", but the district "did everything in their power to prevent any meaningful consideration of my proposals, systematically violating their own stated policies in the process." QSEA sued the school district over its teaching of evolution.
Eugenie C. Scott came to the aid of the school district by writing an article in the California Wild magazine. Scott has since retracted the article, which was found to contain false claims, factual errors and libeled Caldwell in order to discredit his "Quality Science education Policy." According to Caldwell, "Scott and the NCSE have a long history of libeling people in the debate over how evolution should be taught in our public schools; my case is only the most recent example. Hopefully, it won't take any more libel lawsuits to teach them how to stick to the truth."

Evolutionist Admits False Assertions Against Critic of Darwin's Theories
Over 400 scientists, including 70 biologists, have signed the Statement of Dissent from Darwin, stating they are "skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life." "This list is a witness to the growing group of scientists who challenge Darwinian theory on scientific grounds," noted Dr. John G. West, associate director of Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture.
