ACLU has Ten Commandments Removed from Georgia Courthouse

U.S. District Court Judge William O'Kelley handed down the decision that the Barrow County, Georgia courthouse display of the Ten Commandments must be taken down. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), representing an anonymous resident, sued in 1993 to have the parchment remove. County officials fought the lawsuit until the district judge ordered the removal.

According to the legal director of the ACLU of Georgia, Gerry Weber, "We think that this will make Barrow County a more inclusive community."
