When discussing same-sex marriage, Menard demonstrated his commitment to tolerance and non-discrimination by insulting and castigating Christian witnesses. At one point referring to Archbishop Marcel Gervais' "stone age" morality. Responding to the blatant anti-Christian discrimination, Garvias commented, "Will those who believe in the historical definition of marriage henceforth be victims of discrimination?"
