Cross Removed from Crematorium Chapel- "Political Correctness Gone Mad"

The 50 year-old crematorium chapel always had a 5 foot cross on the wall. One day, Reverend Anthony Macey entered the crematorium to conduct a funeral and found the cross gone. The facility had also been renamed to the "ceremony hall." The local council reported this was done "to cater for everyone in a diverse multi-faith society." Reverend Macey commented, "It is political correctness gone mad. That cross has been in the chapel for 50 years. It seems stupid to remove it when most of the funerals are Christian."
