The defenders of gay-marriage have argued that there is no relationship between rights for gay-marriage and rights for polygamy, pedophilia, incest, bestiality, and other sexual variations. Well, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has already taken the next step by declaring that a polygamous relationships is a fundamental right that the ACLU will defend.
National Review correspondent Ramesh Ponnuru commented, "it is hard to see how the ACLU, on its own principles, could stop short of demanding a change to the marriage laws to allow for polygamy."

Some individuals argue that Jesus was silent on homosexuality, polygamy and other sexual variations. Jesus stated:
