U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom Releases 2005 Report

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) has release the 2005 annual report. The 11 Nations identified as violating religious liberty are: Burma, Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea), Eritrea, Iran, Pakistan, People's Republic of China, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Turkmenistan, and Vietnam. USCIRF Chair Preeta D. Bansal notes "Promoting religious freedom and related human rights abroad is vital to U.S. foreign policy and to our strategic, as well as humanitarian, interests."
