Dr. Chris Kempling, a school counselor for the Quesnel, British Columbia, School District, was suspended from his position for three months. Why? Because he wrote a letter to the editor of a local paper on behalf of the Christian Heritage Party, expressing his Christian views on same-sex marriage.
Superintendent Ed Napier charged Kempling with disrupting the school system, but could not provide any examples of such disruption.
Kempling will be fighting the suspension.
