Christians Protest Changing B.C. to B.C.E.

Several publishers and textbooks writers are changing the dating nomenclature B.C. (Before Christ) to B.C.E. (Before Common Era) and A.D. (anno Domini which is Latin for "in the year of the Lord") to C.E. (Common Era).

"I find it distressing; I don't like it," said the director of the American Textbook Council Gilbert Sewall.

The Southern Baptist Convention condemned changes as ‘the result of the secularization, anti-supernaturalism, religious pluralism, and political correctness pervasive in our society.’
