Karen Jo Barrow, a staff member of Greenville Texas Unified School District, has been passed over for an assistant principle position, even though she's had principal certification for 10 years. Why? Because Barrow sends her children to a Christian school.
Kelly Shackelford of Liberty Legal Institute has taken this civil rights case to a Texas jury. Shackelford states "To blackmail teachers -- to try forcing them to remove their children from Christian education -- would be a horrible change in the law and would affect millions of teachers and administrators."
