U.S. Coast Guard requires Immunization made from Dissected Fetus'

Hepatitis A vaccines manufactured by SmithKline Beecham and Merck are made through the dissection of lung tissue, taken from electively aborted fetus' of 14 weeks gestation, as reported by the National Vaccine Information Center.

The U.S. Coast Guard requires its personnel to be vaccinated against various diseases. When Catholic Coast Guard Officer Joseph J. Healy, requested an religious exemption from being vaccinated because of his Catholic beliefs, he was denied, even though other exemptions were approved for other religious beliefs. Captain Brent Pennington, who denied the request, proceeded to inform Healy that his opinion on Catholic theology is that it "does not state that these immunizations are against the religious tenets of the Catholic Church." Healy will be forced to take the immunization or face severe penalties.

Attorneys from the Alliance Defense Fund have filed lawsuit to protect Healy's religions beliefs.

U.S. Coast Guard officers should not be forced to violate conscience in order to serve country
