An affilate of the Texas Gas Transmission's company has been displaying a lighted cross during the Christmas season for over 40 years. Unfortunately, as a results of pressure of the cross being "Offensive" to some individuals, the company did not display the cross this year. Company president, Dean Jones, provided a brief statement, indicating, since the religious symbol was not accepted by everyone, the company would no longer be displaying it. The cross was donated to Crosspointe Baptist Church.
