But for Penny Nixon, her Christian faith was forbidden. There could be no expression of her faith, which had to be eventually escalated to a lawsuit. As Chuck Douglas, Nixon's attorney, stated in the suit, "she does assert her right to have her practice and belief in Christianity unmolested in the workplace."
