Arizona State Officials Reject "Choose Life" License Plates - For No Reason

According to Arizona Department of Transportation, a group can apply for a specialty plate if they serve the community and contribute to the welfare of others. For example, an anti-child abuse plate reads "It Shouldn't Hurt to Be a Child." When the Arizona Life Coalition applied for the "Choose Life" license plate, the request was rejected without reason and tied up in the courts for over four years.

The Alliance Defense Fund and the Center for Arizona Policy represented the Arizona Life Coalition in the San Francisco Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, to make the license plate available to Arizone drivers.
