East German secret service documents, reviewed by an Italian parliamentary commission, has provided evidence that the Soviet spy agency, the KGB, order the assassination of Pope John Paul II. The order was given to the Bulgarian secret service, who recruited Mehmet Ali Agca to kill the Pope. The Bulgarian government has offered their secret-service document to the Italian commission.
