Freedom From Religion Foundation
Sues Federal Government to Stop
Social Services because they are

During his first term in office, President Bush established the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. It's purpose was to eliminate the inequality of denying federal funding to faith-based social service organizations. The Freedom From Religion Foundation is suing the federal government, not because of the quality of services rendered by any faith-based organization, but for violating the "separation of church and state," a legal construct that does not exist in the U.S. Constitution. The lawsuit was originally dismissed in November 2004, but has been reinstated in January 2006.
