The University of Kansas has withdrawn the course titled "Special Topics in Religion: Intelligent Design and Creationism." The purpose of the course was to teach students that intelligent design and creationism are mythologies. Professor Paul Mirecki's, the instructor of this course, intended it to be for Christians as a "nice slap in their big fat face."
State Representative Brenda Landwehr is considered withholding House Appropriations Committee funding, while the intentions of this course are investigated.
