State of Tennessee Attempts to Shut-Down Christian Ministry by classifying it as
"Mental Health Supportive Living Facility"

The non-profit organization Love in Action is a Biblically-Based, Christ-Centered ministry to help individuals recovery from sexual brokenness, including homosexuality. They are a "Christ-centered ministry for the prevention or remediation of unhealthy and destructive behaviors facing families, adults, and adolescents."

The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities has designated Love in Action a "mental health supportive living facility" - requiring licensing from the state. Tennessee has given Love in Action until September 30th to apply for licensing - otherwise the facility will be shut-down.

Nate Kellum, senior legal counsel for the
Alliance Defense Fund, representing Love in Action, stated "This is harassment, pure and simple." The state is "trying to turn a Christian ministry into a state-regulated mental hospital."
