Business Owner in Dispute with City Over "Christ ... is the Answer" Truck Signs

Kurt Lovegrove, owner of Lovey's furniture store in Fenton Michigan, was inspired to put Christian messages, such as "Christ ... is the answer" on his business truck when he was stuck in traffic one day. He decided that one way to shared the hope found in Jesus Christ was to post the messages on his trucks for other motorists to read. Fenton officials did not agree, and filed criminal and civil charges. The city position is that Lovegrove is illegally parking his truck. Lovegrove argues that the city has not prosecuted other businesses for the parking of their truck and he only faced charges when his Christian messages were posted.
