Coast Community College is selling off ownership the PBS affiliate, KOCE-TV. Daystar TV offered the highest bid for the station, which was rejected by the college - in violation of the educational code statute. Daystar Television Network is suing three college district trustees for refusing to sell the station because of Daystar's Christian religion broadcasting - a violating the First, Fifth and 14th amendments of the constitution. According to Richard L. Sherman, attorney for Daystar, Coast Community College demonstrated "favoritism and discrimination against the Christian broadcasters."
