Episcopal Church Eroding As Leadership Chooses Homosexuality over Church Unity

The Episcopal Church consecrated the openly homosexual Bishop V. Gene Robinson of New Hampshire in 2003. Since then, the unity of the Episcopal church has been eroding as members of church leadership denounce the decision as unbiblical and unchristian. Those who supported Bishop Robinson included Bishop Andrew Smith of Connecticut.

Six churchs of Connecticut, known as the "Connecticut Six," oppose Rev. Smith's support of homosexuality in the church. Bishop Smith has taken step to "inhibit" the priests leading the churches. Rev. Smith started with St. John's church in Bristol Connecticut, changing the locks on all the doors, breaking down locked doors, locking out the church leadership and "hacking" into the parish computers to retrieve parishioner information.

The other priests of the "Connecticut Six" churches claim Rev. Smith will "systematically destroy, one by one, the six parishes that have requested adequate Episcopal oversight.”
