The pastor of a Pentecostal church in Kalmar, Sweden, Ake Green, was prosecuted in January 2004 for inciting hatred against homosexuals and “hate speech against homosexuals,” when he preached a message on the Biblical teaching on homosexuality. The conviction was overturned in February 2005 and today the high court is reviewing this acquittal. Sweden’s chief prosecutor supports the original "hate speech" conviction.
