Sunday, April 24th marked "Justice Sunday" around the country. Highview Baptist Church in Louisville Kentucky hosted the event "Justice Sunday: Stopping the Filibuster Against People of Faith." A number of well-known speakers addressed the issue of filibusters on judicial nominees. One speaker, Dr. R. Albert Mohler, president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, told the audience that there is a clear pattern of discrimination by Senators against Christian judicial nominees. "This pattern of discrimination against those who hold deep convictions about human life and the institution of marriage must come to an end," Mohler stated.
