Evolution Scientists Resort to Protesting Science Curriculum Hearings

The Kansas State Department of Education has scheduled hearings to discuss the role of Intelligent Design in the science curriculum standards. 23 proponents of Intelligent Design are scheduled to speak. In attempting to schedule proponents of Evolution, Alexa Posny, a deputy commissioner with the state department of education, stated "We have contacted scientists from all over the world" but could only find one person to speak on behalf of Evolution.

The scientific community has taken the position of boycotting the hearings instead of discussing the science. The May hearing are scheduled to proceed.
