Magellan Health Services retains several mental health experts on their National Provider Advisory Committee. One of them is Dr. Warren Throckmorton. Throckmorton is Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of College Counseling Service at Grove City College. His primary area of research is homosexuality and restoring homosexuals back to their heterosexuality.
Magellan Health Services decided that Throckmortons position on homosexuality is "mixing religion with mental health perspectives" and removed him from the advisory panel. Magellan chief medical officer Alex Rodriguez made the decision out of fear of the backlash from homosexual activists.
